CCA’s Story

Crowdfund Capital Advisors (CCA) is the pioneering force behind the crowdfunding revolution. Our founders, Sherwood Neiss, Jason Best, and Zak Cassady-Dorion, played instrumental roles in shaping the regulatory landscape through their active involvement in lobbying and drafting the crowdfunding bill that eventually became the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act). This legislation, passed in 2012, marked a significant milestone in securities laws and opened doors for crowdfund investing.

Having gained support from key stakeholders such as the White House and influential lawmakers, CCA’s founders worked tirelessly to ensure the passage of the JOBS Act. They collaborated with representatives from both sides of the aisle, including Patrick McHenry and Senators Jeff Merkley, Michael Bennett, and Scott Brown, to refine and develop crowdfunding legislation. Their efforts led to the creation of Title III of the JOBS Act, a game-changing piece of legislation hailed by President Obama.

Beyond the United States, CCA’s impact extends globally. We have worked in over 45 countries, engaging with investors, entrepreneurs, governments, and multilateral organizations.
