What We Do Tim’s Tavern, or TIMs for Together In Music, is a beloved neighborhood venue, bar/restaurant, and creative gathering space located in the heart of White Center, Seattle. Founded on the belief that live music brings people together, TIMs supports independent artists, fosters community connection, and provides a welcoming space where diversity and creativity thrive. The team at TIMs believes live music isn’t just entertainment—it’s essential. It builds bridges, heals differences, and brings people together through shared experiences. Since relocating from Greenwood to White Center, TIMs has become a cultural anchor for the neighborhood. With its outdoor patio, intimate stage, and deep commitment to local performers, the venue plays a vital role in the Seattle arts scene. Each year, Tim’s Tavern hosts hundreds of performances—from afternoon shows to community-centered evening events—providing both well-known and emerging artists with a warm, inclusive space to connect with audiences. Today, Tim’s Tavern faces serious regulatory challenges that threaten its ability to continue serving the White Center and greater Seattle community. In response, the team is launching a community investment campaign through Honeycomb Credit. This campaign gives fans, neighbors, and supporters the opportunity to invest in Tim’s Tavern, support its mission to preserve live music in the community, and potentially earn a return on their investment. Use of Funds Raised The funds raised through this campaign will support Tim’s Tavern in two critical ways: stabilizing the business financially, and navigating a complex permitting process now underway with King County. A portion of the capital will go toward resolving past remodeling debt, including construction of our indoor stage and upgrades made during the relocation to White Center. This debt relief will free up essential cash flow and help us remain operational during a period of regulatory uncertainty. The remaining funds will be allocated toward engineering, architectural, and legal costs associated with King County’s zoning enforcement actions — which were triggered by a recent complaint. The County has indicated it will issue multiple code violations, including those related to structural compliance, property setbacks, and outdoor performance use. These issues predate Tim’s tenancy but now must be addressed to keep the business open. We are also advocating for a permanent code change to allow outdoor live music in commercial zones — a key part of our long-term vision to protect arts and culture across King County. This is not just about one venue. It’s about preserving live music, neighborhood culture, and independent business. Your investment will help TIM’s survive this process and emerge stronger, more resilient, and fully compliant — with a future that honors both its artistic mission and financial sustainability. $60,000 Min Goal Breakdown King County Permitting (8%) Build Indoor Stage/Remodel (27%) Payroll for Staff during Remodel (16%) Refinance High Interest Debt (48%)
