Asylum Brewing is a craft brewery located in Anaheim CA, right next to the Anaheim Packing House and Disneyland. They make and sell craft beer in their brewery/tasting room that is sought out for its spooky interior. Every great institution starts with one madman — and at Asylum Brewing Co., that madman is Tommy. Once just a humble beer lover, Tommy’s obsession spiraled out of control. First discovering craft beer while working in corporate, he realized the market was exploding with big new brands, delicious flavors, and cool new tasting rooms everywhere. It started harmless enough — a homebrew kit, a few experimental batches… and then things got weird. Recipes got bolder. ABVs got higher. The lines between genius and madness? Blurred beyond recognition. He was hooked and knew he had to start his own line. After 8+ years he has never looked back. Inspired by the eerie halls of Danvers Insane Asylum, Tommy knew his creations needed a home just as unhinged as his brews. So he built one. Now, Asylum Brewing Co. stands as a tribute to the beautifully deranged — a sanctuary for the hop-obsessed, the flavor-fixated, and anyone thirsty enough to take the risk. Use of Funds We will use the funds raised for working capital to purchase equipment and inventory and to refinance debt. $91,760 (74.0%) - Working capital- purchasing additional fermenters and brewing equipment, ordering grain & hops for production, and acquiring additional storage $24,800 (20.0%) - Debt refinance $7,440 (6.0%) - SMBX Funding Success Fee Our Business Plan We will use the funds from this investment to make some quality of life upgrades in our main location in order to scale up production and keep beer flowing - by way of extra space as well as additional beer fermenters. We will also be refinancing some high interest debt so that we can free up additional working capital while paying down the outstanding balance. This will allow us to double our production numbers and grow our footprint in the market significantly.
